FOR IGBOS IN THE DIASPORA, A PART IS GREATER THAN THE WHOLE
Imagine more Americans in Moscow attending Ohio Day Celebrations at Red Square than attending the Fourth of July Celebrations at the Kremlin. This is the situation of Igbos in the American Diaspora.
Igbos in the American Diaspora, magnify rather than minimize their differences. There are Imo, Anambra, Ebonyi, Delta, Rivers, Enugu, Benue, and Abia Igbo groups. Within Imo, there are Old Orlu, New Orlu, Undecided Orlu etc. Abia is further subdivided into Old Bende, New Bende and Benders on the Fence. Anambra has Nnewi North, Nnewi South, Nnewi East, Nnewi West and Nnewi Central. Enugu has its Ngwo, Awgu, Nsukka, and Old Udi factions. Ebonyi has Abakiliki, Afikpo, and Izza Groups. Delta is subdivided into cassava eating and non-cassava eating groups, while Rivers Igbos, have the Real Igbo and RumiIgbo factions. Finally, Benue Igbos are split along Igala and anti-Igala lines.
All these factions are further split into men’s, women’s, youth, and soon LGBTQ groups. When the invading Fulani Jihadic Terrorists invade Igbo land, will they attack Nnewi North or New Orlu and skip the LGTBQ Igbos? I hope that these groups are negotiating with these terrorists to spare their members. A good way will be to make identifying t-shirts to be worn by their members at all times.
How stupid can a beleaguered tribe be?
An event organized by a provincial or state Igbo Organization is better attended than an event organized by a Pan Igbo Organization. In fact, all hope is lost for Igbo people in America. They keep digging themselves deeper and deeper into the abyss. The hole may be so big that there is no exit.
While their motherland is being ravaged by local and mercenary Islamic Fulani Terrorist Herdsmen, they keep organizing useless self-serving fundraisers without any goal except for eventual embezzlement of the funds. Other threatened groups would have started amassing money to lobby the US Congress to check the Fulani menace with the US military might. No, these Igbos in America are busying dividing and subdividing themselves into inconsequential parts to facilitate the sequestration of their disposable incomes for no useful purpose.
Igbos claim to have some Jewish affinity but their behavior is so un-Jewish and so self-serving that Jews would feel insulted to be associated with the Igbo tribe. The problem will only get worse as more Igbo megalomaniacs aim to head smaller and smaller organizations to boost their petty egos.
Politically, the Igbos may be the most stupid tribe in the world. Economic and intellectual power not backed by political power is ephemeral. A person without a WASC lording it over a nation with immense potential, is the result of political apathy by Igbos and the other tribes.
Africastallestman urges the Igbos in America to reexamine themselves, get rid of these self-serving parochial Organizations and unite for the existential fight against the invading Islamic Army. Othman Dan Fodio did not conquer the Igbos and Alhaji Muhammadu Buhari should not.
