REJOINDER TO A NATION ON THE EDGE: WHICH WAY NIGERIA? – SEGUN ADENIYI
THE PLATFORM, OCTOBER 2, 2017

The speech is two miles long and can be accessed via this link.

A Nation on the Edge: Which Way Nigeria?

SAME OLD WINE, NEW BOTTLES!

Rehash of old comments on Nnamdi Kanu and AREWA Adult Youths. Revolutionaries such as Nnamdi Kanu do not attract attention by flowery speeches. Should murderous Fulani herdsmen be addressed as animal lovers who kill people to maintain the peace between cows and people, or as Jihadic murderers? Since Buhari is acquiescing to the murders by his inaction, the victims’ only revenge is verbal warfare.

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu never ordered Northerners to vacate the South East but the AREWA Adult Youths ordered Igbos to leave the North. Next, they enumerated their property for seizure. One of the grievances of the misguided AREWA Group is the one-day sit-in strike to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the killing of 2 million Igbos and the Asaba massacre. It was very proper and dignifying and will be observed in the future.

The Catalans just called a one-day strike to protest Spanish high handedness during their referendum on October 1, 2017. No one died. Imagine the response if one Catalan died. The Madrid Government has apologized. Major General Muhammadu Buhari will rather die than apologize for letting venomous pythons loose on the Igbos. What a coincidence with Nigeria’s Independence Day. Do I hear Biafra?

Segun Adeniyi not provide a template for restructuring. Prayers and a few good people cannot change the current status quo of Nigeria, a failed zooic State. As he admitted, he is a beneficiary of the current system.

His long speech is bereft of any ideas to engender Nigerian unity. Sloganeering will not do it. What is his remedy to counter the Fulanization and Islamization of Nigeria by Buhari? Does he have a solution for MMM (Marginalization, Maltreatment, and Murder) of Igbos and Christians?

The developing NNPC saga where an experienced Igbo technocrat, Dr. Ibe Kachikwu is being sidelined by a Fulani Buhari appointee is the tip of the iceberg. How is Segun Adeniyi going to address the exclusion of Igbos from Nigeria’s political, public, corporate, and security positions?

Nigeria has been trying to be a country since 1914. What is Mr. Segun Adeniyi’s solution to Igbo killings starting in Jos in 1945, through the Biafra-Nigeria war and currently with Operation Python Dance II. Has Nnamdi Kanu been killed as Dambazzau boasted?
Alhaji Bola Tinubu installed Buhari for selfish reasons despite a welter of evidence that he is a wicked, jihadic, fulanistic, divisive, and irredentist character. A good politician, as Tinubu claims to be, should have sifted through this evidence and discarded Muhammadu Buhari in favor of better candidates. I hesitate to call Buhari a leader, because he is not.

When will the Yorubas start standing up to the Hausa-Fulani? The Afonja syndrome magnified by a huge number of Islamic converts in Yoruba land is clouding the Yoruba thought process. Happily, the younger Yorubas are rising up to the challenge and demanding change.

Where were the Yoruba elders when Alhaji Bola Tinubu installed Sultan Muhammadu Buhari, an unqualified candidate by lack of educational requirements and incompetence, as judged by his prior stint as a leader, the President of Nigeria? The so-called Igbo elders are IgboHouseNiggas according to Chukwubudike Ugbaja. However, they have learned their lessons at the hands of the Massa (Fulani), and they are wise not to oppose a popular agitation.

This Segun Adeniyi is being disingenuous. Of the millions of Yoruba Pentecostal Pastors, who dominate the money making Pentecostal Christian church scene, his pastor is Dr. Evaristus Azodoh, an Igbo soldier, doctor, and pastor. What a combination? Next, he will be Vice President of Nigeria.

Mr. Adeniyi, Nigeria is broken and prayers coupled with fake patriotism will not save it. During Gowon’s reign, Nigeria had so much money that he did not know what to do with money! Out of office, he has been praying for over 25 years with his group, “Nigeria Prays” and still there is no unity, no electricity, no roads, no food, no potable water, or unreliable communications. What a big joke. The biggest champions of one Nigeria are oil block thieves, monopolists, land thieves, politicians, looters, contractors, and their beneficiaries.

The time for restructuring is now. If it cannot be restructured, then let it break into pieces that are more manageable!
