US CONGRESSIONAL PUBLIC HEARINGS—ORCHESTRATED CHARADES

Public congressional hearings are
supposed to hold public officials accountable.
Really—not when the questions and answers are
known to the public before the hearings.

Why these orchestrated charades?
These hearings are theatrics staged
to score cheap political points against
the other party and accomplish nothing.

After both sides condemn war,
the Department of Defense is
renamed the Department of War.

After both sides condemn war,
the defense budget is doubled
to create a secure nation.

How can a nation be secure when—
Hunger is rampant in the land
Inflation is skyrocketing
Health care is nonexistent
Homelessness is increasing
Pollution is increasing and
The wealth gap is increasing

Congress, please stop the charade.
Incompetent and unqualified officials
raining insults on Congress is not
a public hearing but a public dress down
of a do-nothing Congress.
