TRUMP’S DAMAGE TO AMERICA IN LESS THAN ONE YEAR WILL TAKE 100 YEARS TO REMEDY!

It is easier to destroy than to build. A skyscraper built in two years can be demolished in two seconds by a controlled explosion. Alliances, friendships, and cooperation cultivated and nurtured over decades, if not centuries, by successive American Governments, are being destroyed by President Donald J. Trump in less than one year.

There are several ominous clouds swirling around this Trump Presidency that it should tread slowly and confine its disruptive and ill-conceived interventions to the home front. General Michael Flynn’s refusal to testify before a Senate Committee without immunity, all but confirmed the underhand Russian vote in the 2016 US Presidential Election. Despite the Russian Vote, Trump still fell short by 3 million votes in the popular tally. If President Trump is impeached or is forced to resign, are his executive orders and behavior valid?

Trump’s recent trip to Israel is disturbing. He not only donned a skullcap, but he also prayed at the Western Wall. I wonder what was going on in his mind. An irreligious person saying a Jewish prayer! This brazen act may undo years of tenuous Arab-Israeli rapprochement. Is he going to don a khaffiyeh and pray at the Al-Aqsa Mosque for equilibration? His mega 110 billion dollar Saudi arms deal benefits only the Saudis and American arms dealers. Repressive regimes will always fall, it is only a matter of time.

No country will be willing to negotiate any meaningful treaty with America that will be jettisoned by the next “America First, Make America Great Again,” Trumpian President. America used to be the number one destination for foreigners seeking higher education, investments, and pleasure. President Trump has made it clear, in no uncertain terms that he wants an insular America, and that the rest of the world can go to hell! Every action begets a reaction. The rest of the world may be ready to tell America to go to hell. Trump may be accelerating instead of impeding North Korean nuclear and missile buildup. When two political teenagers fight, the outcome may be Nuclear War I. There will be no Nuclear War II. The world will not survive the catastrophic event.

Domestically, he fired an FBI Director. This has never happened even during the hatist reign of J Edgar Hoover. Preceding that firing, he also axed Acting Attorney General Sally Yates for giving him proper immigration advice that has been repeatedly upheld by the courts. You cannot create an immigration policy based on religion. His dalliance with the religious wrong (right) is troubling and unconstitutional. If the Supreme Court, with the Trump appointment casting the deciding vote, overturns Roe vs Wade, I foresee widespread public disregard for the court’s ruling. Some of his executive orders and directives to Federal Agencies will be resisted in Mobutu Sese Seko’s Congo and Idi Amin’s Uganda. Yet President Donald Trump and his Republican co-conspirators are more concerned with temporary political gains than America’s future in the world and the world of future Americans. His environmental, healthcare, and tax proposals are anti-people and are all designed to hurt his supporters the most. I thought that gullibility is African but globalization of gullibility may be affecting US politics.

President Trump forgets that America was built with African, Latino, and Asian slave labor, and European brains on Indian land. Trump better be checked before he causes irreparable damage to America and America’s reputation.

Are we seeing Nero’s Rome replicated in America? History does indeed repeat itself! Trump’s damage to American values, bilateral and multilateral relationships, reputation, and integrity in less than one year may take 100 years to remedy by successive Presidents.
