You appoint a turncoat into
an office requiring integrity
and expect integrity in office?

You have converted a private traitor
into a public traitor and
the “center cannot hold.”

You condemn immorality in private
but you support an immoral politician
and expect morality to reign?

You have just turned private immorality
into public immorality and
the obscene, gory, and lurid will be normalized.

Why do humans indulge
in diametrically opposite behaviors
in public compared to private?

I call it “Human Behavioral Dissonance.”
