SOLVE ONE PROBLEM, CREATE ANOTHER PROBLEM

Solve world’s energy problem,
By burning fossil fuels, which
‘God’ hid in the earth, to prevent
Humans from harming the earth.
Create a torrid earth that will
Eventually roast Humans to death.

Invent plastics to keep foods safe,
Plastics now, one of the “elements”
In the human body, along with
Sodium, calcium, and potassium.
Cool transformers with *PCBs,
Create a most potent carcinogen and teratogen.

Create energy out of fissile materials,
Inherit tons of potent nuclear waste,
That will last millennia and millennia.
Substitute driving for walking,
Add to the global warming nightmare,
And unpredictable environmental disasters.

Build wind farms with wind turbines,
Create killing fields for scavenging birds,
Migratory birds, pollinating birds, and predatory birds,
Disturbing the natural environmental balance,
Creating enormous disasters, as in the
Extinction of beneficial birds and bats.

Send satellites into space for exploration.
Obsolete satellites create a hazardous
Space junkyard that threatens past,
Present, and future satellite launches.
As Humans solve “problems,” Humans create
More potent problems that may be unsolvable.
