THERE WAS NEVER A COUNTRY!

It is rare for Africastallestman to disagree with his idol and hero, Chinua Achebe. Africastallestman reluctantly but resolutely disagrees with Achebe’s assertion that Nigeria was ever a country. Nigeria was and is still an arrangement of special interests whose sole aim is to live off the sweat of the masses. Young, greedy, and ambitious Nigerians of varied ethnic backgrounds banded together to share the loot being abandoned by the Colonists.

The two older agitators for independence, Azikiwe and Awolowo, went along with the arrangement to protect their financial interests in the arrangement. Their collective lack of vision, planning, and problem resolution methods continue to plaque Nigeria till the present day.

Nations that cannot withstand political, ethnic, and religious stressors, are mere arrangements that will eventually crumble.
