You have been acting as EFCC Chairman for 3 years. Isn’t it a financial crime to collect a Chairman’s salary while acting? Shouldn’t your salary be an actor’s salary?

Alhaji Magu:
I prefer to be substantive Chairman but the Nigerian Senate will not confirm me. The DSS has an adverse report on me.

Africastallestman:
Does that mean that you have skeletons in your cupboard? Or is it a case of the fox guarding the chicken coop?

Alhaji Magu:
The Senate is protecting its corrupt members.

Africastallestman:
Sir, the Senate does not control the DSS.

Alhaji Magu:
Africastallestman, are you here to question my integrity or to interview me? If you have no questions, you may leave my office or I will have you arrested.

Alhaji Magu:
Yes, I could have used the time wasted on this interview in arresting Ifeanyi Uba for joining APGA instead of APC during the Anambra Gubernatorial Election.

Africastallestman:
Is it a crime to exercise freedom of association in Nigeria?

Alhaji Magu:
Yes, it is a crime if money changes hands. Ifeanyi is donating to APGA, money that belongs to APC. It is the APC Government that is paying his oil subsidies. Baba is not happy with him.

Africastallestman:
Who is Baba?

Alhaji Magu:
Are you a real journalist? You must be the only one that does not know that Alhaji Muhammadu Buhari is Baba.

Africastallestman:
I can see two mosques from your office. Why do you have to attend Friday Prayers at Aso Rock Mosque?

Alhaji Magu:
Baba gives me a list of politicians, businesspeople and anyone he wants to harass during the Jumu’ah Prayer.

Africastallestman:
Talking about harassment, why did you arrest Innocent Chukwuma, a rising star of the Nigerian automobile industry?

Alhaji Magu:
Innoson makes aircraft parts for the Nigerian Airforce. What prevents him from making aircrafts for Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s Biafran Airforce? Siting his operations in Biafra poses a security risk to Nigeria.
He is very stubborn. We are using the Customs Service and GTB (Guarantee Trust Bank) to make life difficult for him and Innoson Motors.
Once he relocates to Nigeria, the harassment will end.

Is your EFCC a political commission or a financial commission?

Alhaji Magu:
When Obasanjo was using the EFCC to harass his political opponents, where was Africastallestman? Now a Northerner is doing same, everyone is complaining.

Africastallestman:
Alhaji, Africastallestman does not discriminate. Type Obasanjo into the search window and you will be amazed on what I have written about him. Obasanjo is corrupt but Baba is more corrupt.

Alhaji Magu:
I have to go for Jumu’ah Prayer. I hope that your name is not on this week’s list. Assaulting people’s home at midnight also distracts attention from the economic difficulties facing Nigerians. That is the economic part of our job.
