IS THERE CAUSE FOR CELEBRATIONS OF ACHIEVEMENTS OF NIGERIANS?

IS THERE CAUSE FOR CELEBRATIONS OF ACHIEVEMENTS OF NIGERIANS?

Nigerian appointed head of Russian Space Agency.
All Nigerian newspapers are emblazoned with the caption:
“Nigeria leads in space”
Seriously, which space?
Is it the space of corruption, terrorism, or darkness?

Nigerian doctor in US performs first human head transplant.
Yea, he should be performing head transplants on Nigerian politicians in Nigeria.
Wasted skills, Americans do not need head transplants.
Nigerians need the head of dead Americans transplanted to living Nigerians!
America cares more about dead Americans than Nigeria cares about living Nigerians.

Nigerian in Portugal is fastest in Europe.
Do you mean a Portuguese is fastest in Europe?
He is no longer Nigerian,
He is Portuguese.
When will Nigeria stop celebrating other countries achievements?

Nigerian heads the New York Stock Exchange.
Nigerian Government declares a public holiday.
What a farce!
Shouldn’t this financial whiz be heading the Lagos Stock Exchange?
Nations become great by creating the right atmosphere to retain talent.

No headline in the London Observer shouts:
“British American becomes US President.”
Because the President is no longer British.
He is American.
And Britain has millions of would be US Presidents in Britain.

Nigerians who achieve outside Nigeria are lost.
They are no longer Nigerians, so are their offsprings.
To celebrate the achievements of ex-Nigerians,
Is the height of national lunacy.
Great countries retain their best brains.

Until Nigeria is restructured or divided,
Nigerians will be celebrating the achievements of other countries.
Political greatness precedes national greatness.
When the blind continues to lead the sighted,
Nigeria shall continue to lose her talents to the world.

Nigeria will never be great,
Until Nigerians in Nigeria,
Start celebrating the achievements,
Of Nigerians in Nigeria,
And not the achievements of Nigerians in the Diaspora.

Africastallestman hopes that the politicians are listening.

  1. Will this truth apply if they are dual citizens or not, according to your appraisal? The Europeans (Anglo-Saxons) in particular who happen to become American Presidents are at the time no longer Dual citizens, but full fledged , concrete Americans, unlike Africans. If they are dual citizens, then they are not lost, but still Bona Fide citizens of their countries, and therefore, still worthy of celebration.

    1. Boris Johnson, the current British Foreign Minister was a dual citizen of Britain and America. He was not celebrated in America when he became Mayor of London. In fact when he was asked to pay American taxes on the gain on his London property, he immediately renounced his American citizenship.

My friend, is the top Nigerian heart surgeon with dual Nigerian and British citizenship practicing in London, operating simultaneously on Nigerian heart patients in Kano.

  2. Nigerians take lead in celebrating mediocrity, federal character alone has proved that this nation has ways of destroying their bests, those who would not stake their future fled. And we are here celebrating, instead of mourning the loss of this people in our land. Woo to nation because it can never be redeemed.

  3. I agree, we should be mourning the lost talents, the lost generation: are they still Nigerians? No. Dual citizenship is a fraud.
