JOINT LEADERSHIP, A CORE BUHARI PRINCIPLE
General Muhammadu Buhari governed Nigeria from 1983 to 1985 as the Buhari -Idiagbon Administration. If Buhari could not lead alone in his prime, why do the political pundits expect him to rule alone in his seventies, sorry, eighties! Therefore, I find it preposterous when people assert that A cabal is controlling Buhari. Are these complainers worried about the large number of operatives in the present cabal or are they worried that Buhari cannot lead alone? The singular General Tunde Idiagbon cabal is not different from the cabal of Mamman Daura, Abba Kyari, Musa Bello, Amina Zakari, Colonel Abubakar, Sabiu Yusuf, Lawal Musa Daura, Abdullahi Kazaure, Zainab Ahmed, Godwin Emefiele, Ibe Kachikwu, Suleiman Adamu Kazaure, and Aisha Abubakar.

So addicted is Buhari to governing by cabals that his wife, Aisha Muhammadu Buhari suspects that hyenas, jackals, chimpanzees, and lions may be lurking in his cabinet. An animalistic cabal may portend serious danger for Nigeria. If Buhari could not govern effectively with humans, the addition of “ferocious animals” to his cabal is very troublesome and may signal the unraveling of Nigeria.

President Muhammadu Buhari is incapable of governing without a cabal but this cabal is very unwieldy with human and animal elements. Since Buhari does not understand economics, specifically the law of supply and demand, and foreign affairs, the effect of the cabal on him would be extremely confusing. He should revert to the singular cabal as in Buhari – Idiagbon, Buhari phase I.
Africastallestman suggests that President Buhari should form a new cabal composed of Professor, Pastor Yemi Osinbajo. The Buhari – Osinbajo administration, Buhari phase II, will be more agile and responsive to the nation’s needs. An unwieldy cabal especially with animals as presently constituted is disastrous for governance.
