REJOINDER TO PROF. SOLA ADEYEYE’S STIGMATISING PRESIDENT BUHARI

REJOINDER TO PROF. SOLA ADEYEYE’S STIGMATISING PRESIDENT BUHARI

Stigmatising President Buhari – by Prof. Sola Adeyeye, Nigerian Biologist, Politician, and the Chief Whip 8th Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria
Rejoinder by Africastallestman – Internet Whip, Common Sense Party.

Prof. Adeyeye:
“This rehash of the prominent positions held by Muslims in Nigeria is mischievous and quite unfortunate. It is the typical Nigerian game of chasing needless shadows rather than focusing on the arduous task of nation building.”

Africastallestman:
Ask Dr. Junaid Mohammed.
http://saharareporters.com/2016/07/23/nepotism- buhari’s-govt-worst-nigeria’s-history–junaid-mohammed
Dr. Junaid Mohammed, an Islamist disagrees.

Prof. Adeyeye:
“Until recently, so-called Christians held commanding heights of the economic governance of our Republic.”

Africastallestman:
Using so-called Christians is derogatory. I anticipate that you use so-called Muslims also. The governance of our economy should be merit-based.

Prof. Adeyeye:
“The Presidency, Headship of National Assembly, Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Head of Service, Ministry of Works, Ministry of Finance, the Central Bank, the NNPC, the Stock Exchange etc. were headed by so-called Christians.”

Africastallestman:
No comment because there are no names or period mentioned. This is speculative.

Prof. Adeyeye:
“Tragically, they reprobately superintended the profligate looting of our common
patrimony.”

Africastallestman:
There is no evidence to support this assertion.

Prof. Adeyeye:
“The lone voice of courageous warning belonged to a certified Muslim, Sanusi Lamido, who succeeded Soludo and was hounded for his courage to expose the cult of looters comprising so-called Christians.”

Africastallestman:
Is Sanusi Lamido, a Muslim or a so-called Muslim? Sanusi Lamido owns the oil block ASUOKPU/UMUTU Marginal Field. Owning oil blocks without bidding is
corruption.

For more on Sanusi Lamido, see https://africastallestman.com/2016/10/07/saint-sanusi/

Prof. Adeyeye:
“Yes, the metastasis of economic ruins in Nigeria was gestated by these Christians . They reduced Pentecostalism to a reprobate pente-rascality whereby the Dukes and Knights of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria and the Christian Association of Nigeria became errand boys in the corridor of accursed political power.”

Africastallestman:
The professor cannot substantiate his assertions. No names or time period given. His hate for Christians is evident again . I hope that he describes the Sunni sect as Boko-harambic.

Prof. Adeyeye:
“Their private jets were the conveyors of stolen money!”

Africastallestman:
There is no evidence for this. The jet was used to pay South African arms dealers since the West were pro-Islamic in their quest to destabilize Nigeria. No money was stolen!

Prof. Adeyeye:
“Tunde Fashola is a Muslim. He now heads what used to be three big ministries. Was he chosen because of his religion? He was chosen because of his track record!”

Africastallestman:
Tunde Fashola has not performed in his assigned ministries. Yoruba Muslims are cosmopolitan and cannot be compared to Northern Muslims. I know an Igbo Catholic lady married to a Muslim Yoruba Alhaji who attends Catholic mass with her. In Zamfara State, he will be decapitated! You are right about Fashola being chosen for perceived leadership but perception does not translate into leadership. The power sector is in a worse state.

Prof. Adeyeye:
“The dust will settle in Nigeria. Change will come despite predictable resistance from reactionary principalities and forces.”

Africastallestman:
If the current change from economic growth to recession is change, I pray for a return to the previous order.

Prof. Adeyeye:
Hackneyed references to issues that divide rather than unite us whether by Muslims or Christians, are age long stumbling blocks to progress.

Africastallestman:
Your hackneyed analysis is dividing us and is the main impediment to progress.

Prof. Adeyeye:
“It really is a shame when well-educated Nigerians, whether Muslim or Christian, wobble themselves in religious intolerance. Unfortunately, the intolerance is nursed by some Imams and Pastors mouthing poorly considered facts.”

Africastallestman:
I beg to differ on the issue of well-educated Nigerians. Well educated Nigerians is not the same as having PhDs or being professors. Our “educated” Nigerians seem to be more gullible, misguided, and prone to highfalutin praise singing. The Imams are the ones preaching intolerance. The New Testament of the Bible does not sanction killing of nonbelievers. The Quran sanctions killing of nonbelievers. No Pentecostal or any Christian has ever beheaded another Nigerian.

needs-a-new-testament-in-its-bible/

Prof. Adeyeye:
“Even if seemingly compelling, facts degenerate into half-truths when they are placed, as is often the case, outside of proper context. The toxicity of half-truths rarely emanates from the profligacy of falsehood but rather from the subtle distortion of truth! Blatant falsehood is intuitively obvious and as such easy to reject.”

Africastallestman:
This is what I call Bombastic Linguistic Diarrhea (BLD). You have basically said nothing.

Prof. Adeyeye:
“By contrast, when truth is softly bent, it takes great discernment to perceive its toxicity.”

Africastallestman:
Nothing said.

Prof. Adeyeye:
“The Constitution of Nigeria enshrines that every stat e must be represented in the Cabinet of the Federal Government.”

Africastallestman:
Yes. And states have been created to favor the North and greatly disadvantage the South East. These states and constitution were not decided by a proportional referendum. Therefore, they are instruments of hegemony.
https://africastallestman.com/2016/07/ 08/ what-is-good- for-ghandi-is-good-for-nehru/

Prof. Adeyeye:
“Even those of us who feel that this, by itself, creates a cabinet that is too unwieldy, must tolerate such a provision until our pluralistic, multi-ethnic and multi- religious republic evolves into organic nationhood.”

Africastallestman:
This is a pipe dream in primitive Nigeria.

Prof. Adeyeye:
“As such, whoever is the President of Nigeria must have a minimum of 36 Ministers.”

Africastallestman:
Yes. And states have been created to favor the North and greatly disadvantage the South East. These states and constitution were not decided by a proportional referendum.
Therefore, they are instruments of hegemony.

Prof. Adeyeye:
“Of the six ministers representing the Southwestern states, two (Fashola from Lagos and Shittu from Oyo) are Muslims while four are Christians (Adeosun from Ogun, Adewole from Osun, Fayemi from Ekiti and Daramola from Ondo).

All the five ministers from the Southeast ern states are Christians as are all six ministers from the states of the South-South.

In other words, of the 17 ministers from Southern Nigeria, 15 are Christians while 2 are Muslims.

In the North-Central, Audu Ogbe from Benue, Solomon Dalong from Plateau, James Ocholi (now deceased) from Kogi are Christians.

The remaining three ministers from that zone are Muslims.
Even if all the ministers from Northeastern and Northwestern states are Muslims, we are left with a Federal cabinet comprising 18 Christians and 18 Muslims!

We have a devout Muslim as President and a no less devout Christian as Vice President.

Nigerians are devout practitioners of religious ceremonies but not devout practitioners of what their faith propounds. Muslim mobs go on a killing rampage after Friday prayers.

The current composition of the Federal Executive Council is one in which only liars will complain that Christians have been marginalized.”

Africastallestman:
Professor of analysis . You have conveniently omitted the analysis of the police and armed forces, the parastatals, and statutory boards. Dr. Junaid Mohammed, a truly devout Muslim will find your analysis laughable. You failed to name the Christian Ministers from Kano and Sokoto States. Are there no Christians in Kano and Sokoto States? Yes, there are, but naming a Christian Minister from those States is a fatwable offense.

You keep harping on devout this, devout that, Nigeria needs devout politicians and not devout Religionists. Religion should be separated from State. If these your devout Religionists were doing a good job, no Nigerian would have noticed their religious affiliations. Instead, they have inserted their religious proclivities into politics.

Prof. Adeyeye:
“When in the history of Nigeria has a traveling President transmitted power to the VICE PRESIDENT?”

Africastallestman:
ls this the same President that locks his Vice President out of Security Meeting and condones the denigrating attitude of El Rufai towards his Vice President.

Prof. Adeyeye:
“That is what Buhari does each time he travels.”

Africastallestman:
ls it possible that he does this to prevent a Yar’adua-type event, which is very likely given President Buhari’s health issues.

Prof. Adeyeye:
“Now let us move to the legislature.
Of the 10 Principal Officers of the Nigerian Senate, only three (Saraki, Ndume and Na’alla) are Muslims!
The remainder (Ekweremadu, Adeyeye, Alimikhena, Akpabio, Aduda, Bwacha and Olujimi) are Christians! Adeyeye and Bwacha are lay preachers.”

Africastallestman:
When did members of the opposition or Deputy Officers become principal officers? The principal officer of the Senate is Saraki, end of discussion.

Prof. Adeyeye:
“The House of Representatives is headed by a Christian. With such a composition, the Nigerian Legislature is not a place where Christians can be said to be marginalized.”

Africastallestman:
Hon Yakubu Dogara may be a Christian in name. He may be a Muslim infiltrating the Christian ranks. He quietly pushed the Sharia Bill through the House of Representatives. A Christian who has remained taciturn on the killing of Christians by “foreign” Fulani herdsmen armed with automatic assault
rifles? These killings have exploded under President Muhammadu Buhari, who is a Patron of their association – Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria.
With “foreigners” entering Nigeria at will, they may vote in our elections! http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/headlines/204161- speaker-dogara -helped-quietly-push-sharia-bill-second-reading.html

Prof. Adeyeye:
“In fact, few people realize that there are more Christians than Muslims in the Nigerian Senate. Now let us go to the Judiciary. How many judges of the Supreme Court has Buhari appointed?
The answer is Zero!”

Africastallestman:
I do not know the number of Christians or Muslims in the Nigerian Senate. As an insider, you should provide numbers. Senators and members of the House of Representatives are under the tutelage of the President. The removal of our best Senate President by President Olusegun Obasanjo with Ghana-must-go politics is still fresh in our minds. Is it possible that the harassment of Supreme Court justices by the Gestapo DSS (Department of State Security) is a prelude to appointing Muslim Judges of the Supreme Court. The Christian South has more legal luminaries but has consistently failed to provide the nation with Chief Justices. Soon we may have a Sharia Magistrate as the Chief Justice of the Federation!

Prof. Adeyeye:
“Is it fair to blame him for appointments that predated his own election into office? The fear of God, the love of country and basic human decency dictate that we reject an amalgamation of intellectual sophistry with the dereliction of truth.”

Africastallestman:
His appointments have been decidedly Islamic and if any vacancy opens in the Supreme Court, a Muslim Northerner will fill the position. I wanted to brand you a sophist at the beginning of this rejoinder. You have now confirmed your sophistry. There are pending lawsuits against the Buhari lslamization agenda.

Prof. Adeyeye:
Unfortunately, it is quite easy for detractors to pick and choose their facts in a manner that allows malignant campaigns of calumny
Africastallestman:
Prof, you are the one picking and choosing facts.

Prof. Adeyeye:
“Professor Adeoye Adeniyi, a former Vice-Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, was a Deacon at Oritamefa Baptist Church Ibadan. He was the Chairman at my wedding. He was also our pediatrician.

When he was leaving the University of Ibadan to head the College of Medicine at Ilorin in 1978/79, he handed Oluwatobi (our daughter) to a Moslem doctor in his Department.

I asked him why he did not hand us to a Christian. Professor Adeniyi smiled and said, “you do
not need a Baptist or for that matter a Christian doctor; you need a pediatrician who will
respond even if you call after midnight!”

Africastallestman:
This argument is in line with your sophistry. Good doctors come in all flavors. Asking that unnecessary question shows your bias against Christians. If you are a Christian, you are bent on currying favor from Buhari. Does Dogara and Sharia Bill ring a bell?

Prof. Adeyeye:
“I enjoy air travels. Sometimes, the plane gets to very rough and bumpy weather. At such times, my concern is not whether the pilot can speak in tongue or prophesy! Rather, one hopes that the pilot knows what to do in a storm even if he were a Buddhist or Moslem.”

Africastallestman:
I take this for the joke that it is. Should you also be worried about hijackers and bombs on the plane? The majority of hijackers and terrorists are not Christians. With the current state of our aviation sector, your enjoyment may grind to a halt very soon.

Prof. Adeyeye:
“May God guide our Muslim President aright as we wade through the fierce storms of
contemporary Nigeria.”

Africastallestman:
Why Muslim President, Professor, he is the President of Nigeria. Haba. You appear to be advancing a Muslim agenda. Nigeria needs a President of Nigeria and not an Islamist as a President of Nigeria.
