First, it was Gowon lying:

Nigerian soldiers were shooting at palm trees in Biafra, and that’s why Malaysia and Indonesia overtook Nigeria in palm oil production.
Biafrans died in the millions by being overfed by relief agencies.

Now, it’s Alhaji General Abdulsalami Abubakar’s turn to lie:
The military decree I signed as military dictator is wrong.
I was forced to sign it by the best brains in Nigeria who smuggled it into the constitution—Really?
It needs to be discarded—Really?
Yes, it needs to be discarded after the Generals have looted the Nigerian treasury using military decrees disguised as constitutions.

Alhaji General, if those were the best brains, did you read the document that you signed?
Are you alleging that civilians smuggled military decrees into a civilian constitution?
Alhaji General, did they also smuggle Sharia Law into the constitution?
How about Canon Law to counterbalance the Sharia Law?
If those compromised drafters of a military decree posing as a constitution are Nigeria’s best brains, then every Nigerian needs a brain transplant.
