The Nigerian Customs Service has intercepted a container load of metal pestles on the Benin–Lagos Expressway.

The 10,000+ pestles were headed to Onitsha, Anambra State.

The Anambra Aka Odo Police has disavowed any knowledge of the intended use of the metal pestles.

Their commander, Odogwu Ọku Piapia, stated, “We are doing enough damage with wooden pestles, why should we order metal pestles?”
