Rivals the damage done to Blacks

Why were Black men missing in action?
Are Black balls reserved for creation?

SOJOURNER TRUTH, HARRIET TUBMAN, MARIA W. STEWART, MARY ANN SHADD CARY HENRIETTA PURVIS, HARRIET FORTEN PURVIS, and SARAH REMOND:

These Black women had balls of steel
They did what men, Black or White
Were incapable of thinking, let alone doing
They un-enslaved Blacks and also
Fought for universal adult suffrage
That enfranchised White women

In a macabre display of murderous hatred
Northern trees also bore Strange Fruit
While Southern lynchings were public
Northern lynchings were private

The effects on Blacks were similar
Lynchings in a public square or
In a private boardroom had the same
Effects on Blacks’ Emancipation
Billie Holliday sang Strange Fruit
As a protest and paid with her life

ROSA PARKS:

Rosa Parks refusal to take a backseat
Reignited, reinvigorated, and revived
The Black struggle for respect
Respect because Whites can never
Regard Blacks as equal humans
Let alone accord them equal rights

BLACK MEN MISSING IN ACTION:

The era of William Du Bois, Frederick Douglas,
Malcolm X, and Martin Luther King are long gone
Where were the Black men supporting Anita?
Where are the Black men rallying against Trump?
Where is Obama when Trump claims that
Tuskegee airmen were DEI pilots and not aces?
