TORNADOES—NATURE’S FREIGHT TRAINS

Suddenly, the bright sky turned dark, green, and gloomy
The wind eddies suddenly dissipated and the air stood still
A stillness pierced by large hail in the absence of rain
Obviously, nature is up to some mischief, hail without rain
Fire without smoke, tears without crying, offspring without sex!

Then the freight train came roaring destroying everything in its path
Tornadoes are nature’s way of moving freight
Nature moves freight by winds and winds are unpredictable
While freight trains take predictable paths
Tornadoes deposit their freight as clouds of debris.

Debris propelled by traveling funnels and
Deposited haphazardly along the tornadoes’ paths
The roof of a house was deposited on 5th Street and
The front porch was deposited on 20th Street and
The bathtub was deposited on Broad Street and
The car was deposited on the football field.

Glad there are moving companies that move freight
Freight that are moved and delivered predictably
Residents of Tornado Alleys—Nature’s Rail lines—are warned
Move your freight out of the tornadoes’ path or
Tornadoes will move them for you to anywhere
