AIR PEACE WILL BECOME AIR PIECES

Growing calls to make Air Peace,
National Carrier or Air Nigeria.
While Nations with National Carriers,
Are privatizing their National Carriers,
Nigeria seeks to turn a private carrier,
Into a state-owned public carrier.
Note, neither the UK nor US has a National carrier.

The defunct Nigerian Airways went,
From a high-flying Elephant,
To a land-based non-flying Elephant.
Turning Air Peace into Air Nigeria,
Will turn Air Peace into Air Pieces,
With the non-flying pieces strewn,
Over Airports around the world.

Nigerians are patriotic, despite
The misanthropy of her political class.
Air Peace does not need to be
Designated Nigeria’s National Carrier.
Nigerians will flock to Air Peace, if
Her reliability, safety record, and service,
Are comparable to foreign carriers.

Air Peace is free to raise capital, from
The stock exchange, and government
To achieve its full growth potential.
Handing over Air Peace to bureaucrats,
And corrupt Politicians would sound,
Her death knell and bankruptcy.
Air Peace should be empowered, not enslaved!

    I see your point that designating Air Peace the national carrier may put it under control of bureaucrats. We don’t need a national carrier but like US should allow our airlines to fly routes out of Nigeria(our call codes) to their ability and acceptability. USA has American Airlines: Inited Airlines:Delta Airlines etc as their carriers

      If they sell the Nigeria name to Air Peace for a fee and butt out of their business, Nigerians should applaud the move.
