SEPARATION OF FAMILIES – A CONSERVATIVE LEGACY OF SLAVERY

History must be made compulsory at all levels of American Education, as history always repeats itself. The hue and cry over the separation of South American asylum seekers from their children, is reminiscent of a similar practice during slavery.

In the Conservative days of slavery, Black families were routinely separated. Mum to North Carolina, Dad to Mississippi, son to Ohio, one Daughter to Missouri, and another to Alabama. Aim: encourage absolute subservience and loyalty to your Massa. Despite Slaves giving unwavering support to their enslavement, greedy White Massas (Masters) still saw their slaves as merchandise, that created wealth through slave auctions.

Present day Conservatives, use familial separations to discourage genuine and phony asylum seekers, from entering the US.
This presents several challenges and tough choices for South Americans. Do I endure the humiliation, torture, and sometimes death in the hands of drug dealers, spouses, and security agencies, or do I lose my children, sometimes permanently?

Thousands of South American children placed by the US Government with host families are “missing.” The Government does not know their whereabouts. They might have been sold into slavery or have become sex slaves, or indentured slaves. How can a World Superpower lose contact of vulnerable children under its care but can eavesdrop on the conversations of German Chancellor Angela Merkel?

Until American Conservative Leaders acknowledge and apologize for Black slavery, other races will experience slavery in one form or another. “If you condone injustice, injustice will condemn you” – Chidiogo.
