Apology is supposed to acknowledge
Regret, remorse, or sorrow
For insults, failure to perform or
Causing injury or wronging another
Through verbal or written medium.

Political apology is tendered
By politicians after they
Have purposely insulted
Knowingly wronged, injured
Or willfully neglected to perform.

They mistakenly believe that
An apology will make
A racist/hatist a humanist
An asshole a human being
And political corruption, a virtue.
