AFRICASTALLESTMAN INTERVIEWS THE NIGERIAN INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE, ALHAJI IBRAHIM IDRIS.

AFRICASTALLESTMAN INTERVIEWS THE NIGERIAN INSPECTOR GENERAL OF POLICE, ALHAJI IBRAHIM IDRIS.

Africastallestman:
Asalaamaleikun!

Alhaji Ibrahim Idris:
Malaikunsalaam!

Africastallestman:
Since relocating to Benue, how many of the Fulani terrorists have you apprehended?

Alhaji Ibrahim Idris:
Fulani Herdsmen are mostly heavily armed law-abiding citizens. If you have mobile merchandise worth half a billion Naira and you are under attack by armed robbers disguised as farmers, you have no choice than to arm yourself. We are trying to apprehend the criminal elements. Calling them terrorists is outlandish.

Africastallestman:
Why did you describe the killings in Benue as communal killings?

Alhaji Ibrahim Idris:
You are part of any community that you live, trade, and sleep in. The Fulani Herdsmen live, trade, and sleep in Benue State. They are therefore part of the Benue community. Any attempt to describe them as strangers is unacceptable to this Fulani Administration. The old practice of describing Fulani Herdsmen as Strangers in Nigeria is over. Fulanis are now part of the 37 States in Nigeria.

Africastallestman:
Are there 37 States in Nigeria?

Alhaji Ibrahim Idris:
Abuja has members of the National Assembly and is controlled by the Fulani. It counts as State in the Fulani dictionary.

Africastallestman:
Why are the Fulani Herdsmen at war with every community that harbors them? They spare Muslims, burning Christian churches, houses, and killing sleeping farmers.

Alhaji Ibrahim Idris:
Governor Nasr el-Rufai describes the criminal Fulani Herdsmen as foreigners. He tried to pay them off but the financial might of the Federal Government is required to compensate for their cow loses. There is still money in the Excess Crude Account and it is my hope that the next meeting of the Council of Emirs will approve $1 billion as compensation to the Fulani Herdsmen.

Africastallestman:
Why would you let foreigners graze their cattle in Nigeria?

Alhaji Ibrahim Idris:
Wouldn’t you let your kinsmen into your home if they are in need of pasture, shelter, and food?

Africastallestman:
Not really IG. Do you want to tell me that Nigerians in the United Kingdom can invite any Nigerian into the United Kingdom?

Alhaji Ibrahim Idris:
Yes, if a Nigerian is the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom.

Africastallestman:
Are you not afraid of reprisals against the Fulani as President Muhammadu Buhari is voted back to Daura in 2019?

Alhaji Ibrahim Idris:
As Governor Nasr el-Rufai remarked sometime ago, any Fulani killing will be avenged 200 times. We will just bid our time. Our next alliance may be with the South East or the South South and we will avenge the killings.

Africastallestman:
Are you the Inspector General of the Nigerian Police or the Inspector General of the Fulani Police?

Alhaji Ibrahim Idris:
Never ask me such a question again or I will make your life difficult with SARS.

Africastallestman:
Sir, I withdraw my question.

Alhaji Ibrahim Idris:
Thank you.

Africastallestman:
We understand that you “romance” your female subordinates and got two pregnant. Do you plan to add to your harem during your forced relocation to Benue State?

Alhaji Ibrahim Idris:
Insha Allah! No one knows when love will beckon.

Africastallestman:
Are you aware of the current campaign against sexual harassment in the United States? Your actions will have you fired in the US.

Alhaji Ibrahim Idris:
Islam does not recognize sexual harassment as long as your intention is marriage.

Africastallestman:
Why has President Muhammadu Buhari not commented on the serial massacres being carried out by Fulani Herdsmen?

Alhaji Ibrahim Idris:
Do you expect the President to comment on communal crises? The Police settles communal crises. If Cameron attacks Nigeria, I assure you that President Muhammadu Buhari will don his general’s uniform and spring into action.

Africastallestman:
Thank you for your time. Happy hunting for girlfriends or killer criminal Fulani Herdsmen, whichever you first apprehend.

Alhaji Ibrahim Idris:
You are welcome. This job is not easy.
