There was noiseless electricity,
Now, there are noisy generators.
There were reliable land phones,
Now, there are wireless unreliable phones.

World class education,
Replaced by classless miseducation.
Dedicated civil servants.
Replaced by corrupt civil servants.
Efficient municipal services,
Replaced by clogged drains and refuse pyramids.

Nationalism,
Overcame by sectionalism.
Altruism,
Obliterated by greed and ostentation.
Candor,
Orphaned by sycophantic praising.

Sleek efficient airlines,
Jettisoned for flying coffins.
Smooth carpet-like roads,
Turned into human death traps.
Beautiful lakes and lagoons,
Are now cesspools of contagion and filth.

Could this be due,
To the Colonial Slave Master?
Being replaced by,
The Domestic Slave Master?
Or is it that,
The African is genetically disadvantaged?
Or is it that,
New nations are needed in Africa?
