“HIS MASTER’S VOICE”

“HIS MASTER’S VOICE”

The call by Arewa Youthful Adults for Igbos to move out of the North confirms the declaration made by Sir Alhaji Ahmadu Bello in the 50’s that Igbos are unwanted in Northern Nigeria. Africastallestman calls members of the Arewa Youth Organizations youthful adults, because they are channeling the thoughts of the Arewa Adults as in the Gramophone Company symbol, “His Master’s Voice.”

The true intention of these adult youths is to steal Igbo property without compensation. This quote from their statement underscores their roguish intent:

“As a first step, since the Igbo have clearly abused the unreciprocated hospitality that gave them unrestricted access to, and ownership of landed properties all over the North, our first major move shall be to reclaim, assume and assert sole ownership and control of these landed resources currently owned, rented or in any way enjoyed by the ingrate Igbo in any part of Northern Nigeria.
Consequently, officials of the signatory groups to this declaration, are already mandated to commence immediate inventory of all properties, spaces or activity in the north currently occupied by the Igbos for forfeiture at the expiration of the ultimatum contained in this declaration.”

Unfortunately, these roguish miscreants cannot escape punishment, if the looting of Igbo property of 1966 repeats itself. The ICC (International Criminal Court) at The Hague is watching events in Nigeria.

The Igbos are willing to leave the North after being adequately compensated for their sweat and toils to “Make Igbo Land Great Again.” The days of braving meningitis, Talakawas, Boko Haram, beheading mobs, Fulani Herdskillers, and hate would soon be over.

  1. The lesson has always been stated that you build your house first.. before going elsewhere to build.
No matter what happens..God will never forget His Own.

  2. Of all these atrocities perpetrated against the Igbos, nothing is more painful than the whole world “looking the other way.”

    1. The Igbos have to shout from the rooftops daily. No single day passes in World without the Jewish Holocaust being mentioned on radio, TV, and the Internet. The Holocaustation of the Igbos is on par with the Jewish Holocaust.
“If you do not write your history, it will be written for you by others” – Chidiogo.

  3. It still baffles me how the Igbos leave their homes underdeveloped to go and develop other peoples’ homes and build industries in foreign land while we have no industries in Igbo land. It’s no wonder the beneficiaries of our hardwork are beginning to take it for granted and even planning on reaping where they did not sow. If all Igbo people in diaspora go back home to develop our land, Igbo land will be unrivalled in the whole Nigeria. It’s night high time we use our head.

  4. It’s very sad to hear that the so called history is repeating itself in this 21st century. That Igbo’s were given a deadline to vacate from the entire North. Everytime, I kept on hearing that the Igbo’s develop wherever they are but they have refused to develop the Igbo land( eme ha ihe nkea eme). Building mansions and companies in another Man’s land creating job opportunities for them while their own suffer. If you go to Mgbakwu, Isu, Urum, Amanuke and other places, you can get land as cheap as 450k. 500k and inside 250k but they will tell you that those places are too inside. But in Lagos, they will be filling ocean for them to build houses. Buying them billions of naira per plot of land. Nigeria has disintegrated, it’s a matter of time. I have a land agent at all these places that I mentioned. Ta bu gbo. K’anyi welunu ututu chuba ewu ojii tupu chi ejie. Ndi be anyi ekene my unu ooo!

    1. The igbos should not allow what happened in the past to repeat itself.Where is the judiciary system?where is the Nigerian president? where are the members of the Senate? Where is simple honesty and decently? The United Nations should be informed.Who are these barbarians?

  5. Brothers and sisters:
Be that as it may, our situation and circumstances in this world is definitely dismal, and unconscionable, simple as that. Records of slave ships show that more Igbos were enslaved than any other SubSaharan African ethnic group. We were the most easily converted ethnic group. Nigeria made war on us and millions died. We died in the hot Sahara desert, we died in the Atlantic Ocean, we died in the Red Sea, Indian Ocean, and the Mediterranean Sea. Today, our young people are dying again trying to find greener pastures in the land of the same colonizers, and dying in great numbers. We have no country to speak on our behalf. This unfortunate call from Northern Nigerian Youths appears to foresee another Igbo Pogrom, the type that was initiated in 1953, or thereabout. We are seemingly ardent Christians, however, during our war for independence, the Western Christian nations supported the Muslims to nearly exterminate us. What are we to do? What can we do, at this crucial point, in our checkered history? Can the United Nations help us this time around? Igbos can build their permanent homes and industries anywhere in Nigeria in accordance with their nationalistic spirit, as dynamic and progressive souls. There is nothing bad about that sense of belonging anywhere in Nigeria. In America, a person from the South can build a permanent home in the North, without disturbance from those who were originally born there. This as such, appears to be one of the tenets of the idea of democracy, and nationalism, albeit far from ethnicity, as practiced in most African States, underground. This nasty move, if it comes to fruition, will spell disaster for the Igbos. Because, we will then eat each other alive with unbridled competitive and “dog eat dog”, sense of aggrandizement. DIM Ojukwu ,(May his soul rest in perfect peace) encouraged the returnees from the north to return back there in the mid60s, and thereafter more of them were killed, most inhumanly. At this point, I have not come up with the possible solution to this ethnicity in action. This is mostly primitive behavior. WE PROBABLY KNOW THE CENTRAL IDEA OF THEIR RELIGION, HOW CAN WE TAME THEM NOW? Thank you so much.

  6. Which master? The one that is suggesting blood shed. No wonder water is more valuable than blood. I have seen the preceeding posts and I can never agree less with all. I just wish that we today can be our wake up call. Only if wishes were horses.

  7. The presumed masters according to the original author, maybe: Tafawa Balewa and Ahmadu Bello who declared the conquest of the South as their religious goals without mincing words. For example, Sir Ahmadu Bello: “The new nation called Nigeria should be an estate of our great grand father Othman Danfodio, We must ruthlessly prevent a change of power. We must use minorities in the North as willing tools and South as conquered territories and never allow them to rule over us or have control over their future” Sir Ahmadu Bello, October 12, 1960. “The Northern people will continue their uninterrupted conquest to the sea” Tafawa Balewa (1947). Chinelo, these two are just some of their masters, whose voice the Arewa Youths are voicing.
