NORTHERNIZATION!

The Northernization policy of the APC-led Buhari administration is a boon to newspaper publishers in Nigeria. Civil servants from the Southern parts of Nigeria are changing their names to Northern-sounding names. It is mandatory in Nigeria for change of names to be published in one major National newspaper. One such advertisement appeared in the “Daily Liar” said to be owned by one of the APC bigwigs. It ran thus: “I formerly known as Mr. Michael Abana, now wish to be known and addressed as Mallam Mohammed Abba Gana. Any document bearing my former name, Mr. Michael Abana remains invalid. Board of Customs and Excise take note.
