VICE AND VIRTUE

Are they mutually exclusive?
No.
Can both coexist?
Yes.
Can they be synergistic?
Yes.

Do we discard the achievements
of one who:
Loves alcohol?
Loves women?
Smokes?
Loves sex?
Uses once illegal substances?

Do vices enhance creativity?
Probably.
How does society reconcile both?
Difficult, but doable.

As long as society is unharmed
by an individual’s vices,
society should gladly accept
the individual and her/his achievements.

Without substances,
some artists, politicians, scientists,
and high achievers in several areas
may have remained average achievers.

Don’t throw away the child with the bath water!
