COVID-19  — SARS-COV-2 — SHALL EVENTUALLY MUTATE TO ‘A COMMON COLD’

COVID-19  — SARS-COV-2 — SHALL EVENTUALLY MUTATE TO ‘A COMMON COLD’

SARS-CoV-2 is a highly mutant RNA virus.
Mutation is a double-edged sword.
Viruses mutate to increase transmissibility and survival, but
May lose lethality as their flanks are exposed.
Human immune defenses may also ‘mutate’ and
Gain ‘killability’ to destroy the new variants.
Covid-19 vaccines also ‘mutate’ to counter variants.

Alpha variant is more transmissible than the original SARS-CoV-2 virus.
Beta variant is not more transmissible than Alpha variant.
Gamma variant is less transmissible than Alpha and Beta variants.
Delta variant is more transmissible than Alpha, Beta, and Gamma variants.
Omicron variant is more transmissible than the Delta variant.
Omicron is the most transmissible variant so far.
So far, because the SAR-CoV-2 virus is still mutating.

As SARS-CoV-2 virus mutates to get a better grip on
The Human cell, the same mutations may also weaken
The lethality of SARS-CoV-2 virus, leading to Covid-19 becoming
A nettling common cold as the Omicron variant is proving.
Omicron is highly transmissible but not as lethal as Delta.
One or more dangerous variants may appear until the
‘Harmless’ Zeta variant appears and predominates.

Subsequently, Covid-19 will be indistinguishable from common colds.
Common colds are also caused by coronaviruses that escaped from cows.
Early common colds must have given Adam and Eve
Sleepless nights but is regarded by modern Humans as a
Tolerable nuisance that disappears in 7 days or one week.
Do you prefer 7 days or one week, take your pick or
Get jabbed and enjoy serene, snore-free nights.
