HAUSA-IGBO PEOPLE STORM ABUJA, PLEDGE LOYALTY TO BUHARI AND SERVITUDE
The Hausa-Igbo People of Nigeria, HIPON, stormed Abuja on Thursday, October 20, 2017. Led by Fulani herdsmen carrying AK-47s, they caused traffic to grind to a halt on major Abuja streets. Some drivers abandoned their vehicles as they sighted the armed Fulani Herdsmen, given the carnage they recently caused in Jos. Composed of mostly women, the march ended at the Unity Fountain, Abuja. Swearing on the Quran and led by Alhaji Muhammad Uche-Chegwo and Alhaja Maryam Uche-Chegwo, the demonstrators pledged the loyalty of the Hausa-Igbo nation to the administration of President Alhaji Muhammadu Buhari. They further added that Buhari and his APC-led Government are Allah’s blessing to Ndi Hausa-Igbo and Nigeria.
Alhaji Muhammad Uche-Chegwo commended the President for ensuring that poverty is now felt in all parts of Nigeria and not just the North. He added, “We commend you for this achievement that no other President was able to accomplish in 57 years of independence. Alhaji President, we thank you for trying Boko Haram in secret and for arresting Mazi Nnamdi Kanu with a python.”
Receiving the group, the Presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina, said the turnout was not impressive and wanted to know what happened. Somethings are better left unsaid. He promised to send the message to the President who is currently in an Istanbul hospital for a checkup prior to the D-8 meeting of Islamic countries.
Obviously Alhaji Muhammad Uche-Chegwo could only muster female Hausa-Igbo women for the trek to Abuja. Hausa-Igbo men who are unhappy with their wives for leaving the purdah without permission, are waiting to vent their anger on the Alhaji when he returns to Hausa-Igbo land. Meanwhile, Alhaji Muhammad Uche-Chegwo and Alhaja Maryam Uche-Chegwo are no longer welcome in Igbo land.
