WHY ARE AFRICAN ROADS SO HORRIBLE?

Because African leaders, Politicians, Money bags, and Criminals love to have the victims of their criminal activities admire their expensive and exotic cars as they slowly roll over the pothole riddled roads. If not, why would any sane individual drive a Roll Royce Phantom over a route worse than a safari course?
